We visited on a windy Wednesday after hiking, quiet but excellent service and food. We had the grilled feta starter and fava dip- both delicious and massive portions Then chicken souvlaki and moussaka-delicious and very generous portions again! We were given pudding and Raki !! Fabulous restaurant
I was interested in trying some local Cretan/Greek Cuisine, and opted for their Moussaka which was absolutely amazing. Super fresh with tons of flavours. It was not greasy like it sometimes can be Super smooth and soft, ver rich in flavour and tasted fresh. I was given what I believe was a Greek semolina cake after dinner, which also was delicious. Service was excellent and very polite. Prices are very affordable. If in Sougia, you must try this place!
Great place, very kind staff. My opinion, It's better to order traditional Cretan food veg/meat instead fish/seafood. Upadate - I can say, after a week of going around Crete - Best Dakos on Crete for me! Astonishing cheese!
We have been coming to Ribetiko for some years now… and love it. Food is consistently great. They have lovely menu of Cretan classics served in a beautiful and atmospheric courtyard. Specials are reliably good - eg last night we had lamb fricasee with oven cooked potatoes -very good indeed! When we arrive in Sougia we always have dinner ar Ribetiko the first night - it’s part of arriving! Run by Spiros and his brothers I strongly recommend this restaurant as a top, top choice for quality in Sougia! Thank you guys we are so grateful!
We had the tzaziki, a generous Greek salad, the chicken in wine sauce with rice, and the lamb in garlic sauce with roasted potatoes. They did not offer cocktails just beer and wine. The chicken was so delicious I would have happily gone there a second night and ordered it again, but there are bones that didn't bother me but might others. The lamb was tender and delicious. I had some with my rice which was fabulous, but I don't know if they would allow substitutions. It was very busy even for late May, so you might want to get there earlier or make reservations.
you’re gunna want to get the seafood platter (and fennel pies and the ratatouille-like veggie stew and the Cretan salad and a beer and some wine and some raki)
Absolutely stunning Taverna with traditional Greek food and excellent service. Very fairly priced for both food and drinks too. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous venue and delicious food, super friendly staff. Has sword fish, sea bream, greens and house wine. Everything was super fresh and delicious
